Even if you weigh them instead of counting them it adds up to a lot.

250 on 12/3, 350 on 12/2, was 2000 a day before.
I come to aa last, and header via crosspost is not reflected in the new for aa.
That is your only recompense. More crossposting, less aa.

If they show up in alt.atheism, they
show up in alt.atheism. Where you
happen to read them first does not
change that.

Newsgroups have a bunch of competing was of expression nowadays.
It may be as active as ever, but the quality of the discussions has
diminished considerably since I started here in 1996. We used to have
a huge roster of wildly entertaining theist kooks here, from Brice
Wellington, to John P. Boatwright, to McNameless, to Jahnu, to
MrGoodSalt, and many others. The current crop like Duke, Fasgnadh,
TRUECRISTIAN, et al, aren't even worth responding to.
I feel your pain, brother. Seems like we have nothing worth rattling
for some fun. Predictably common christian trash. Even worse are the
non-responders. They bleat without engaging. How pathetic.

Ah, "bleat"! How I miss Stix!
Total of 1375 in the last 24 hours.
Nonsense.
I see, he's just talking about new, non-crossposted posts? No wonder
his number is so woefully undercounted.
True, we can tell earl he's an idiot on a variety of eletronic mediums
these days. :D
Maybe the jesus freaks are getting bored with trolling here? I hope so.
usenet is dying because many isp's are dropping the service.

Yep, 376 new posts in the last 24 hours (used to be 2000 daily) in active
threads of the last 30 days.
Your comment re "showing up" is a "no show". In free agent, a cross-post read
first in another ng is not shown as "new" in aa, one of the last ng's I read. My
other groups that I read first are all religious. So if I read an atheist post
in, say, alt.religion.bible and respond to it, the post is not shown as new in
aa, but my response is. Are your boys become religious that they're doing their
posting elsewhere?
Alt.atheism is a dying group, as it should be.
I guess you ment, "I wish it would be" Alt.atheism is the most popular
newsgroup among religious news groups!
According to this site:
http://usenetstats.com/top100post.php
As I write this, alt.atheism is number 25 in the non-binaries groups.
There's only one Christian and one Muslim group on the list, at 61 and
88 respectively. If a.a is dying, the religious groups have died
already.
And what (non-binaries) usenet group doesn't have less activity than
it did ten years ago?
Andy
That's because we're not staying there. We're coming here.
Did it ever occur to you to count how many posts are direct assaults made
by Christians?
From what I can see, a large number of posts here in alt.atheism were
originated by aggressive Christians that choose to "fight the good fight
of faith" by bringing it here, and getting in your face, rather than
sitting back and talking about how to make beef stroganoff, and then
whining when the "godbots" won't leave you alone, the way wimpy Secular
Humanists do here in alt.atheism,
I guess you must be blind to all that. You only see what you want to see.

No, I ment [sic] that it's dying. 1/10 the popularity it was a few years ago.
Now it's infested with idiots like syd, attila, listerman, vacant lot, and other
assorted weirdo's.

If you go to aa first, you get an elevated count reflective of all the other
ng's you tie into and crossposted.
I do too. But I come here last, and so the only reduction I get in aa are the
number of crossposts by atheists in the religious groups. In addition, my count
is new posts for the last 24 hours (generally) and for active threads of the
last 30 days.
You guys changing your ways and becoming religious???? Heeheeheehee.

Of whom the weirdest by far is puke the dike.

It is quite proper and logical to reject claims presented without
evidence.
Such as the ones you keep making.

When one is presented with the option that one god is better than
another, one should not rely only on the hearsay of those around one, as
you have done.
But under all STRONGLY SECULAR DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENTS, theist religions
are losing ground.
Not at all. But you seem to be getting more hysterical.

Interesting theory but I'm not convinced. While it is true many of the
posts are from aggressive Christians, as you say, many of them cross-
post such attacks into their own pet groups as well. They don't come
here instead; they come in addition.

What an odd comment! I post a link to some Usenet statistics, suddenly
you think you know everything about me? What is it I want to see,
exactly?

...or crossposts to alt.atheism from theists...
So, let's do a little thought experiment here. If every single
post to alt.atheism were also cross-posted to one of the
other groups you read, then when you got to alt.atheism
you see exactly zero posts -- and then you'd no doubt
start a new thread
No one ever posts to alt.atheism!!!
Such is Duke "logic"
