That's a misleading headline.. It implies that everybody is suing Trump for non payment. Here is the breakdown of lawsuits involving Trump's 500 plus different companies:(from your link)

Total lawsuits over 50 years=3500
Trump was the plaintiff in 1900 of them(he was suing someone else)
Trump was the defendant in 1450(someone suing him)
Other 150

There were 3500 lawsuits over a 50 year period
That's an average of 70 per year.

Trump owns more than 500 companies
That averages out to 7/50 or 14% of his companies involved in lawsuits

Since he was the defendant in only 1450 of the suits
That means that less than 6% of his vendors sued him.

Guess what? I worked for a company that was closing down it's operations in 1987. I was the Controller.. My boss told me to call our vendors and negotiate with them about paying less than we owed them. They all agreed because they were afraid they would get nothing if we went out of business.

I suspect Trump used the same tactic. It's business.

Before a businessman agrees to give credit to someone, he should research the guy's payment record. If the guy is a slow payer, you give him no credit(make him pay in advance) or give him very little credit. I suspect some of Trump's creditors did not do their homework.
