Hi,

I'm continuing my experiments with Transmission (I'll write something
about it, now I think I've some success, thanks for the new version) but
now watching logs, I see the error message of the subject, and I don't
understand it. I searched explanations on inet, but my Linux appears to
be insufficient for it.

These are my kernel and system log... please, is it important?

Ok, I read this post and now things are clearer for me.

I did some of the recommended tests and apparently I have a problem similar to the problem  asked there, so since my device boots correctly and everything seems to be working, I won't take much more attention. However, any manner to have a clearer kernel log? I know that these errors exist, but if I can't correct that...

Regards,
mk.

There are several DNS-320L ECC related posts in the forum, see also https://groups.google.com/d/msg/alt-f/xBULQIdEax8/oWQj-3ikAwAJ

As far as I remember from my tests, the flash chip are working OK (my box is still working after all that time), and most if not all of those messages are generated when the 'blkid' program search blocks devices for filesystems. (blkid is called by 'loadsave_settings' and by the hotplug scripts when disk devices are detected; you can also call it directly)

I remember reading in some other forum, for another brand/model box, that the warnings can be avoided if not building the kernel with block level access for flash chips (mtdblock), but I have not tested that. And we currently need it.
