Hello João,

First I want to thank you (again ?) for alt-f, which has been in use here on two DNS-323s for a number of years.

Seems I was not quite awake today

I had erroneously upgraded my new DNS-327L to D-Link firmware 1.07, and could not install alt-f from there.

Then I found 1.04 at ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/NAS/DNS-327L/Firmware/DNS-327L_FW_1.04b10.zip and downgraded with it.

Then I loaded Alt-F-0.1RC5-DNS-327L-rev-Ax.bin.
It seemed to be not OK, because when pressing the installation button nothing happened. But then the box rebooted, and my hopes were high ...

Problem is, pointing at 10.0.0.8 (the box’s address) lead to the D-Link login mask, and (on entering the password) then to the address:

with the message:

404 Not Found

The requested URL was not found

I think that my error was not rebooting after the 1.04 downgrade.

What can I do now ?

Best regards,
Marc

Which H/W ver? Please see the box bottom label

to D-Link firmware 1.07, and could not install alt-f from there.

Can you provide a link for it?
I have tested several:
DLINK_DNS327L.1.01b09(3.13.1213.2013).bin
DLINK_DNS327L.1.02b01(3.13.0422.2014).bin
DLINK_DNS327L.1.03b03(3.13.0722.2014).bin
DLINK_DNS327L.1.04b10(3.13.0717.2015).bin
DLINK_DNS327L.1.06b02(3.13.1020.2015).bin

Browser issue?

But then the box rebooted,

By itself? Did a reboot button appeared after a while? Of have you to reset the box?

Have you cleared the browser cache? It is still displaying D-Link webUI, not Alt-F one.

Start clearing the browser cache or try with a different one.
Check if the box IP has not changed.
Check and describe the buttons/leds behaviour (pressing the USB button should start blinking the orange leds if Alt-F is running; see if the reset and power button works -- these must be kept pressed during some 5/10 seconds to be recognized)

Best regards,
Marc

Sorry, I don't have the link anymore. But the file is:

This is certainly a  possibility, although it didn't happen for 1.05 (factory) to 1.07

No IP change, I checked in the router

That's probably it. I should have cleared the cache

Reset (40+ seconds) dit it, to my surprise and joy.
Now for migrating from the 323s 8-)

Many thanks,
Marc

Sorry, I don't have the link anymore. But the file is:
DLINK_DNS327L.1.07b06(3.13.0422.2016)

Thanks.

I downloaded it from  http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/support/product/dns-327l-2-bay-network-attached-storage and found it "OK". Well, the downloaded zip file contains another zip file, and I needed to unzip that one to find the real fw file. That's the only odd thing I found.
Otherwise the final DLINK_DNS327L.1.07b06(3.13.0422.2016) has the same signature as the other fw for the 327L-rev-A1 that I tested before and there should be no problem with it.
Glad It's OK.

Many thanks,
Marc

The I probably experienced a browser problem, as you mentioned. Sorry that I cannot document further, but happy about the ennding.
Keep up your good work, please !

That should be it.
I flashed a D-Link 327L-rev-A1 from within Alt-F-0.1RC5 with D-Link fw 1.07b6, then flashed Alt-F from within the D-Link fw without any issues.
