I have built all but one of the Alt-F packages for Alt-F 1.0, using linux-4.4.45.  This includes kernel module packages for linux-4.4.45, ARMv5, for DNS-323. I needed the linux-4.4.45 modules package to get OpenVPN to work.  There might be other programs which also require these kernel modules.

You can find the packages at http://alt-f.eagercon.com/download.  You can add this on the Alt-F Package Manager web page.

There were changes to configuration options for several packages to get them to build correctly.  I'll post patches later.

Doesn't it not contains
/usr/lib/modules/4.4.45/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.4.45/kernel/net/ipv4/tunnel4.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.4.45/kernel/net/ipv6/tunnel6.ko

Didn't know that it existed.

OK Michael, but the README says:

DNS-323/321 users that need aditional kernel modules should manually download and install the
 kernel-modules-armv5_4.4.45_arm.ipk

I will eagerly :) wait for your patches, the one for binutils has already been applied.
Which package wasn't you able to compile?

I will be away from my boxes for another two weeks
