Dear Stakeholder Forum on IPBES,
Have you ever wondered how to represent the links between nature and people in a simple way to facilitate decision making? A diverse group of experts share their tips in addressing this challenge and suggest possible ingredients of such a representation or the so called conceptual framework. The hope is that this 'recipe' will help the work of IPBES in relating biodiversity and its benefits to human well-being, sustainability and conservation.
During the ongoing first meeting of the IPBES Plenary, the experts have presented their views and suggestions on such a representation to the governments and other partners and stakeholders. Following their suggestions, the Plenary is currently considering a development of a conceptual framework for IPBES – we will keep you updated on the final decision in this regard.
