This was on the first import attempt using /bulk/import/filesystem

[pmonks] That exception is not being thrown by the import tool, since the import tool doesn't perform any searches - are you manually performing searches via the UI, perhaps?

Regardless of the cause, the stack trace seems to indicate a problem with SOLR (the search engine used by Alfresco), so I've cc'ed the alfresco-technical-discussion mailing list to see if anyone there recognises it and can assist.  It certainly suggests there's a problem, but it doesn't appear to be related to the import tool.

And I tried stopping the Import and now it's just spinning and won't stop (10 min so far)

What I do? The files actually imported ok.

But the status tool is just spinning.

[pmonks] What happens when you refresh the status page?  Is it still spinning?  Also, are you sure all of the source file imported?  The import tool imports in multiple batches, so it's quite possible it's written some of the files to the Alfresco, but gotten "stuck" on a later one (I've not heard of that happening before, but it could be a new bug).

And is everything ok considering the errors in the log?

[pmonks] Those exceptions aren't directly related to the import tool - do you see any other errors in the log?  Exceptions that occur during import will include stack trace entries for classes in the org.alfresco.extension.bulkfilesystemimport package hierarchy.

As discussed in the forums, there seems to be SOLR issues.

I'll create separate post about them.
