There are two large camphors taken down today at 1008 and 1010 Ordway in Albany, Ca.  Lots of crotches, heartwood and already cut pieces. First come first serve.

Why 2 more camphors down ? Too many seem to be targeted

One was dead and the other was rotting from the inside out. The camphors are suffering partly due to the draught but mostly because they are all coming to the end of their life cycle. We wait as long as we can. There is one on Marin that is barely alive, same for on eon Santa Fe and one on Curtis. When we can we cut off dead and diseased  branches, reduce the canopy and keep them as long as is feasible.  -Tony
