Old Tablet for Hacker Space

I have a 'broken' tablet, that doesn't charge anymore, it should be otherwise in working order, is this something I could leave at the hacker space for the parts pile?  I figure the battery, cpu and screen are salvageable for other projects.

Hey Chad,

Thanks for the offer, but I think the AHA space currently has a surplus of spare parts.

If anyone is interested in donating working electronics to the space let me know! There are some limitations (we can't take CRTs for instance...) so please check with me beforehand. Your donation may be tax deductible!

What kind of tablet is this? I'm imagining it hung on the wall with the battery replaced with a wall wart permanently logged in to the irc room.  Maybe it could be watching for some sort of command which makes it blink or beep or something to get people's attention.
