See article below. All the more reason for a more established makerspace. Perhaps we can work directly with the city? To be honest, I don't think we (as our group currently stands) should try to make that big of a leap any time soon. Something on that scale seems like the sort of thing we shouldn't push to happen too rapidly, but rather we should grow into it OR, better yet, find other small groups of creative doers who would also like a shared space to call home. That way we have lots of people truly investing their time and energy into it.

Last minute reminder! a2geeks annual meeting tonight at 6:20pm at HOMES brewery. a2geeks has been pretty core in helping many geeky groups come to fruition over the years. Including AHA!

Andrew - Machinist, volunteers at Reuse Center! Interested in things that haven’t been done before


Adam - Duo Software & security. Board member of Common Cycle that runs weekly bike repair sessions and helps people fix bikes. Farmers Market. CC is looking for a permanent home.


Brooke - Engage/Affect, Tech + Entrepreneur. Lowering threshold to next opportunity for people. Runs weekly Community Coffee events. Next one


Valerie - AADL Library Tech, runs Secret Lab. Helps introduce making to beginners and more. Raspberry Pi Jam on Sunday, March 4th!


Emily - Librarian at UM, Prior President of a2geeks. Helps build communities, helps do assessments on physical spaces, moving libraries into 21st century. Better understand the use of a building.
