Discussion Topic:"Engineering Best Practices in Agile"
While some may say Agile is an excuse for cowboy coding, most of us know that a good Agile team is a very disciplined team. Since most Agile processes prescribe frequently delivery, not having good engineering practices will only result in getting poorly written code to your customers faster. And that results in tons of bugs and support issues. With most people adopting Scrum as their Agile framework, they unfortunately fail to realize that it is a management framework and does not contain any engineering best practices like XP does. That sometimes means that they start delivering quickly before those practices are in place and bad mojo happens. Come join us for a discussion and lend your experience on the subject.
(but it is not required).
Please spread the word to people who are using an Agile
process currently, and those who are interested in learning more.
This meeting is an open discussion so anyone can join in and share
their experiences. Pizza and drinks will be provided and attendance
is FREE thanks to our sponsor Vaco (
