DESTINATION_URL_REPORT erroneously returning empty reports

Hello,

I ran some calls against the DESTINATION_URL_REPORT yesterday and received data.  I ran the same calls today and am getting empty result sets.  Is there a problem with the API for this report?

Upon further investigation I found that setting includeZeroImpressions to false gives results however, impressions, clicks, and cost are all set to zero, (there are conversions being returned though.)

Does the date range or date used for the above report is before 06/30/2015 ? The destination URLs were upgraded to the final URLs on 07/01/2015. The DESTINATION_URL_REPORT can be used to get data for destination URLs for up to date 06/30/2015 (e.g. date range 05/01/2015 to 06/30/2015). The FINAL_URL_REPORT will be used get final URLs data for dates after 07/01/2015 (e.g. date range 07/01/2015 - 07/10/2015). We are working on the FINAL_URL_REPORT, We will post an update on our blog when this report is live.

Thanks for the update.  I was able to pull data from prior to 7/1.  Is there a way to pull this data from the Adwords Interface to get us by while the report is not available through the API?

Hi Mark,

You can export the ad statistics to excel which will have the final URL columns (Final URL, Mobile final URL, Tracking template etc.) in the AdWords product side. The finalUrls field can be selected using the value "CreativeFinalUrls" in reports (e.g. AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT). We will post an update for FINAL_URL_REPORT on our blog when this report is live.

I just wanted to throw out a request for the upcoming FINAL_URL_REPORT.  The DESTINATION_URL_REPORT returns an empty string for the destination URL for shopping campaigns (making the report useless for them).  It would be immensely helpful if the FINAL_URL_REPORT worked appropriately for shopping campaigns.

Sorry, meant to say that it returns no rows for shopping campaigns, rather than the destination URL field being blank (I was thinking of a different report - the search query performance report).  But, again, it'd be really helpful for the FINAL_URL_REPORT to work for shopping campaigns.

Could you provide HTTP request for the report definition and their customer ID? Just click Reply privately to author in the forum when responding. Don't forget to remove the developer token and an OAuth2 headers in the output.

What is the current status of the FINAL_URL_REPORT ?  All of my destination Urls were upgraded to FinalUrls on 8/15 and the destination Url report no longer works. Either I'm getting the field parameters wrong for the FINAL_URL_REPORT or it isn't active yet?

I'm curious, is there another report call that allows you to grab all of this data : "AdGroupId", "AdGroupName", "CampaignId", "CampaignName", "Clicks", "Cost", "CriteriaParameters", "Ctr", "Date", "EffectiveDestinationUrl", "Impressions".  In other words, do you find the DESTINATION_URL_REPORT and FINAL_URL_REPORT to now be redundant and that's why there is no active replacement?

I saw the announcement today regarding the FINAL_URL_REPORT being available now, and gave it a shot with one of our shopping campaigns, asking for data for last month (which has plenty of data and should presumably be with final URLs).  Unfortunately, it (like the destination URL report previously) returns no rows of data.  Would it be possible for you guys to get this to work for shopping campaigns?  It'd be greatly helpful.

Thanks for sending over the logs to Umesh. I confirmed that I can't get back data from the FINAL_URL_REPORT for Shopping campaigns either. I've reported this issue and will get back to you as soon as I have more information.

Hi Greg,

I just heard back from the reporting team, who informed me that this is actually by design. The URLs for shopping ads aren't directly handled by AdWords so it doesn't have access to their effective final URLs.
