Hi AUA,

We are hosting our National Honey Bee Day celebration at Garfield Park Conservatory on August 20 (tomorrow) from 11am-2pm. We hope you stop by to taste honey from various Chicago neighborhoods (can you taste a difference between Pilsen and Humboldt Park honey?), see honey extracted from our bee frames, and have fun with family programs dedicated to the bee! We will also have honey from our hives on sale in our Gift Shop and beekeeping demonstrations (outside if it’s nice, inside if not).

Our National Honey Bee Day event is FREE, family and adult friendly, and a lot of fun! We hope to see you there.

SAVE THE DATE:

Our annual Harvest Day event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17 from noon-4pm. It’s our annual celebration of growing – both food and people – in the city, with goats, chickens, lawn games and activities for kids, music, veggie bingo, urban ag demonstration and more! It’s free for GPCA members or $5 suggested donation.

Or for any wine lovers, we have our Wine Under Glass event on October 6!

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
