For anyone on the South Side or in the south suburbs, there's a cool talk happening Tuesday 10/6 at 7 pm at the Blue Island Public Library.

Foraging has become a fashionable way to live sustainably off the land, but sometimes it can hurt the environment more than it can help. Come hear Joe O’Meara of Blue Island’s BIOS Farm talk about how foraging practices impact the environment and receive free samples of easy-to-forage local plants.
