Hello AUA Community,

As the warmth fades, the climate for leafy greens and other cool temperature crops returns. We also have big harvests that have been growing all season, including winter squashes and bunches of tomatoes!

This week at the Fresh Beats & Eats Farmer's Market, we will be discussing how the fall is a very important time to think about food. We will be showcasing fall gardening activities and food preservation -- essential skills for living well during Chicago's fall and winter months.

This Week at Fresh Beats & Eats Farmer's Market (9/21/18):
  • Learn about Fall Gardening and Food Preservation
  • Ride the Smoothie Bike
  • Listen to performances by jazz flutist Kamilah Furqaan
Weekly Market Benefits:
  • LINK payments accepted
  • LINK Matching Program (up to $25) -- spend $25 with your LINK, and get another $25 free!
  • Money back for frequent fruits and veggie shoppers (*details at the Information Tent).
