Mysql Upgradation

Hello All,

Is there any way to upgrade mysql from 5.0 to 5.6 without downtime .

Hi,

If you have a master-master replication you can always go upgrade with one being on standby. Best practice for you can be to migrate the  database by taking backup to new mysql instance of 5.6.

If you are on cloud Amazon RDS would have been upgraded without downtime.

Don't have master master setup in our location we have individual server.

Hi,

You can take mysql dump backup and try to migrate to the new instance then after cross checking flush the individual server. That would have a no downtime and ease to use.
