Opensource web filtering with url category.

I need opensource web filtering with url category . i can block website with different categores

is there opensource software is available please let me know 

how to i setup above requirement.

You can always use squid, untangle, endian, clearOS etc.

smoothwall expresss is really good for content filtering.

pfsense is functioning well but I am having trouble with youtube. 

Means, if you block contents in pfsense using shalla list, the same contents don't block in youtube only.

Hi,

For content filtering based on categories , you can use any open source firewall/UTM like IPcop,pfsense with blacklist
IPcop is easy to configure,but not customizable more,in pfsense u can add more softwares and configure them as per your requirement

You need either alias to block facebook.com or youtube.com for 443 traffic in pfsense

or

You can use OpenDNS to filter 443 traffic.

If u only want to block utube so install squid in pfsense and there u will find for black listed site there u put the domain it wil work. Here u dont meed sg or dg.
