Dear all,

I have configured a samba4 active directory PDC and ADC, in thoes i have to set samba share directory on ADC.
when i am trying to share any directory with domain "user:group" permission, while allocating "user:group" permission getting error like this:

root@PC2:~# chown -R root:"domain users" /usr/local/pdctech/Share/java/
chown: invalid group: ‘root:domain users’

root@PC2:~# chown -R root:"java" /usr/local/pdctech/Share/java/
chown: invalid group: ‘root:java’

How can i assign permission to active directory user or group on share directory.
getting same error from PDC and ADC both.

Thanks & Regards

This isn't working for you because there is no "username" stored for AD users in your /etc/passwd file.

Try this ..
