Hello everyone.
Just to continue discussion about SDCH in slightly more visible place based on https://codereview.chromium.org/1876683002/#msg26.
We do want to properly submit SDCH via IETF. But there is small blocker on the way. Current "SDCH spec"[1] doesn't include copyright statement. So we can't just take it as base.
Same is applicable for stalled SDCH2 work[2]. And we can't incorporate ideas from that document freely. At least without some lawyers involvement.
So question is who I should to bug to have both documents properly copyrighted and we can get from there?

Hi all,
(I'm not a lawyer either).
As I read cc-by-sa it seems viral in the copyleft sense. The problem is that we could not publish it at W3C, and may not be compatible with IETF, either. CC-BY would work, or an explicit permission to work on this under IETF license terms within IETF, or something similar.
cheers
