disable input / raw_input popup

When I'm using input/raw-input- method in Python Interpreter, a window for the input appears. Is there an option to disable the gui?

As far as I know the only time you won't get a pop up for s =
raw_input() is when running python from the command line. I suspect
that if there is graphic capability Python will always use it to get
the input.
