I have Postini presently through a Postini reseller and my mail then
forwards to another host. I'm trying to setup Google Apps premier.
When I try to send the validation email so a user can use the alias
domain the email comes back with this. Google Apps support told me to
look here for a solution. As I am sending it from google apps to my
user I'm perplexed as to how it's a Postini issue. But as I've been
trying to get a resolution on this for over two weeks now I'll try
anything at this point.

Mr Braden,

Your support for Postini issues is through Etools Group, their contact
number is:
(512) 637-8762

This issue that you are having delivering to lindy....@pump-flo.com
is caused by the recipient server Grey listing. Grey listing is a
form of spam blocking in that it will deny the message from any new
address, sending a 451 back to the sending server to retry the
message. The sending server will then retry the message and normally
it would go through because the recipient server checks to see if its
from the same server.

Most spammer systems will not reply back (so defeating the spammer),
the issue this causes and why it fails is that Grey listing has one
bad problem, if the sender has multiple sending address (sending
servers) the message will fail, when these messages come through
Postini it is highly unlikely they will come from the same IP, and the
recipient server blocks it.

Here is a telnet test directly to the recipient mail server bypassing
Postini reflecting this issue:

bash-2.03$ telnet mx11.simplicato.com 25
Trying 64.106.209.50...
Connected to mx11.simplicato.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mx30.mailforbusiness.com ESMTP Postfix
helo postini.com
250 mx30.mailforbusiness.com
mail from: <cc...@postini.com>
250 2.1.0 Ok
rcpt to: <lindy....@pump-flo.com>
450 4.7.1 <lindy....@pump-flo.com>: Recipient address rejected:
Greylisted for 5 minutes

Please let me know if you need additional assistance with this issue.

I've checked with the Simplicato people and they say greylisting is
turned off. All I'm trying to do is setup users to be able to use
secondary domains to send mail from so I can migrate over to Google
Apps. Is there a way to manually verify the users for the alias
domains?
