Is anyone entering LOINC codes in the Meditech Laboratory Test dictionaries? If so, can you tell me where you are entering them?

For C/S 5.64, you enter LOINC codes on page 6 of the lab test
dictionary, page 5 of the MIC procedure dictionary, page 3 of the MIC
organism dictionary, page 2 of the MIC antibiotic dictionary, and page 6
of the BBK test dictionary.

Thank you,

On page 4 of the Test Dictionary there is a spot for them. But first you have to have the LOINC Term Dictionary loaded. I don't know the specifics about that as our IT analyst handled that part.

Hope that helps a little.

You download the Terms in a text file from Regenstrief.org. The
instructions pop up when you go to the LIS Terms dictionary and click on
LOAD. The URL and version may not be accurate, but it gives you a pretty
good idea of what you are looking for.

If you are at an older version of Meditech, you may not have the LIS
LOINC Terms dictionary. When we were at that version we entered our
LOINC codes into the Lab Site Res Code field on page 2. We are using a
results out Medinet interface so this was appropriate to our needs at
the time. We have not modified the interface to look for the LOINC
field in the test dictionary but plan to once we get a few major
projects out of the way later this year.
