Proposed Agenda Items:
Standards-based diplomas - Jumprope? Educate (
http://www.educatek12.com/)? IC? MasteryConnect (
https://www.masteryconnect.com/)? Infinite Campus has been having a lot fo discussions with DOE and standards-based education and diplomas. There will be a "mini roadshow" in the coming weeks in Maine to demonstrate march 10 (RSU 24), 11 (RSU2 and 4), 12 (RSU57 RSU 60). They know it is a need in Maine, and they are actively working on it. Expected to be part of the core. What is the "model" system and what would one of those diplomas look like.
Where are people keeping HQT information? Most districts in this group are putting it into MEDMS directly, rather than into IC and attempting to sync. It will all go into the new staffing module in NEO fairly soon. At some point, could we get exports from ADS and into the new system? The state would like to do a bulk import at the beginning, and then updates would be done manually going forward until a periodic sync method is developed. New Staff Module within NEO (replace MEDMS?) Demo April 3. Training in August, would involve people who do the data entry in MEDMS.
Followup items from previous meeting.
Scheduling wizard going HTML5? Not planning on that at this point.
Ability to Amend the IEP? Release date in April, and then pending release date from state.
Release dates - try to avoid april and october dates.
End of school year processes - some changes. During this graduation season, changing some end of year duties so they can better track graduation rates. There will be some reports going out of potential errors in start/end statuses that will need to be fixed. These will go out at end of year, and beginning of year.
IC interchange in March in South Portland this year.
