We'll be trying to start a little early today as the ACTEM Meeting finished quite early.  We'll try to start a little after noon if we can.  I think the room and Adobe Connect will be ready by then.

Here are the unedited notes from the meeting.
Maine IC Users Group
March 9, 2015

Attending:
Will Backman - AOS92 - in person
Rick Bergeron - MEDMS Helpdesk Admin
Ted Fornier - DOE
Donna Sieron-Biddeford & Dayton
Suzie Simmons - on call (Bonny Eagle, MSAD #6)
Jim McLaughlin - MSAD 75 - On call
Jason Cramer - IC

Proposed Agenda Items:
Standards-based diplomas - Jumprope? Educate (http://www.educatek12.com/)? IC? MasteryConnect (https://www.masteryconnect.com/)? Infinite Campus has been having a lot fo discussions with DOE and standards-based education and diplomas.  There will be a "mini roadshow" in the coming weeks in Maine to demonstrate march 10 (RSU 24), 11 (RSU2 and 4), 12 (RSU57 RSU 60).  They know it is a need in Maine, and they are actively working on it.  Expected to be part of the core.  What is the "model" system and what would one of those diplomas look like.
Where are people keeping HQT information?  Most districts in this group are putting it into MEDMS directly, rather than into IC and attempting to sync.  It will all go into the new staffing module in NEO fairly soon.  At some point, could we get exports from ADS and into the new system?  The state would like to do a bulk import at the beginning, and then updates would be done manually going forward until a periodic sync method is developed. New Staff Module within NEO (replace MEDMS?) Demo April 3. Training in August, would involve people who do the data entry in MEDMS.
Followup items from previous meeting.
Scheduling wizard going HTML5?  Not planning on that at this point.
Ability to Amend the IEP?  Release date in April, and then pending release date from state.
Release dates - try to avoid april and october dates.

End of school year processes - some changes.  During this graduation season, changing some end of year duties so they can better track graduation rates.  There will be some reports going out of potential errors in start/end statuses that will need to be fixed.  These will go out at end of year, and beginning of year.

IC interchange in March in South Portland this year. https://classic.regonline.com/builder/site/Default.aspx?EventId=1658058

Next Meeting: After the ACTEM meeting, we'll try to make it earlier as the ACTEM meetings haven't been going very long.  Maybe noon.

I noticed the "mini roadshow" in the coming weeks for IC diplomas is actually today, Wednesday and Thursday.  Can anyone attend these?  Our district is very interested in this so I would like to attend one - does anyone have more information on this?  I am in the process of building a custom transcript but would like to see what they will be doing.

Thanks

Jason

We would also be very interested in attending one of these... where was this "roadshow" advertised, and where can we get more info?

I think the Roadshow was actually someone directly reaching out to some specific districts to gather information.
