We've been asked if we want the state (MDOE) to continue to manage when we get our updates to IC, or decide locally when we get updates.

What have your districts chosen?

I would like to be able to choose an update early if we want it... but otherwise just get it at the same time as the rest of the state (so we don't fall behind if we forget).

There have been a few occasions over the past few years where we've wanted to take an update before the state was ready (usually for a bug fix or new feature), and another couple of occasions where the timing of an update (and associated downtime) impacted our local grading deadlines.
