How did it impact the mobile app users? From the documentation:
"If Campus Portal users are going to be configured as SAML users
accounts, the Campus mobile app requires LDAP be configured for the
environment in order to authenticate with a SSO enabled user account."

We have just done it for teachers so far because of that.  We do not have an LDAP configured so have not turned it on for students.
