We have the very same problem with occasional "client did not send nnn
bytes as expected" exceptions appearing all the time. As Amit
mentioned, some clients face this problem pretty often (maybe once in
10-20 RPC calls) and for some it is a rare issue. It looks like slow
connections like GPRS link are more prone to this.
Our clients also get InvocationException exceptions without any
message on the server side. I think it is a similar issue. It is
interesting that when multiple RPC calls are active and one of them
fail with InvocationException the others fail with the same message.
I'm wondering if anyone came up with a solution for this. Did
migration to GWT 1.5 help anyone? The problem must be solvable
somehow. After all, Google Documents uses technology similar to GWT
and it works just fine. Do they simply restart failed RPC calls? If
they do, can this behavior be embedded into GWT?
