Internet Explorer cannot open gmail site!!

Hi
I am having the same problem opening my gmail, it started about two
weeks ago, and i am getting extremely frustrated. My message reads
Internet explorer cannot open internet site http://mail.google.com/mail/?zx=b6eb24tgqlmn
operation aborted. I have read the posts, any more suggestions to fix
this problem. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you read the post I saw yesterday with a link to the official
GMail Help Discussion board where actual Google Employees post?!?

Did you follow that link to the post from a Google Employee on that
exact error? Did you understand that it's only affecting IE7? Did
you follow their suggestion of trying another browser? Did you post
information into that forum to help Google discover what's causing the
error so they can fix it?

I am having the same issue, and would love to be able to help Gmail
resolve the issue. In the mean time, using the following link has
been working for me and hopefully will work for you. Appearantly it
accesses an older version of Gmail.

I having the similar problem using IE7 , I don't know the exact
problem is, but It can be resolved by deleting the "temporary internet
files" in IE7's internet options. (just temporary internet files)

Umm...... easy- you have to have firefox to use all the features of
google. It says so when you try to go to the main website on another
browser

Try to acces gmail via https://gmail.google.com. It did work for me.

Hi,

Same problem that keeps returning even if I clear temp files and
cookies.

I found a work around that works in IE7 (Vista):

1. I assume you have Google Toolbar installed...
2. Click on the dropdown arrow at the GMail icon (instead of the GMail
icon itself) on the Google Toolbar-> it will prompt you to sign in
3. Once signed in click on the dropdown arrow again that will list
your unread emails
4. Click on one of them -> that will display the selected email only
in the browser
5. Click on the "Inbox" link that will magically get you in GMail
without any problems

I hope the Google guys will fix it soon though...

Excellent solution and thanks for posting for all the users here. Be
sure to post the same to the GMail Help Discussion group posting that
I linked to in the other thread about this. There seems to be an
actual Google employee looking into it there and is aware of a
specific problem. That working path may help them discover exactly
what is not working.

Do you have a Diigo toolbar installed on your browser ?
If you do, try removing it. This worked for me.

Hi,

I started using Firefox browser and I had no problems.

https://gmail.google.com does work in IE7 and I could access my Gmail.

hey frnds....


right click on the top tool bar sections of the browser .. lock the
tool bars and then try logging in to gmail... it will do..!!!

the problem is due to the gmail toolbars.....

Hello

Got the same problem, here is a check list :

- Try different browsers (IE6 : website cannot be found, Avant : oops,
we cannot found ... . Mozilla firefox : plain blank with done
notification)
- Change My IP address >> same result

Finally i manage to use POP mail using outlook express

but still i cannot access gmail.google.com, mail.google.com, www.gmail.com
or anything to access my gmail from this computer using any browsers.
but still, i can log on to my account (without able to check my mail
via http).
