Hi All,

Got a weird problem here. My newly created email account can send emails out without a problem but cant recieve anything and gets this error message. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated :)

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

sh...@thegs.com.au

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain thegs.com.au by thegs.com.au. [27.54.81.241].

The error that the other server returned was:
550 No Such User Here

Is the above a Gmail account?

(If it isn't a Gmail account, why are you asking here?)

If it is Gmail, why is the username so short?  I though Google required at least 6 (or 8) characters in the Gmail username.

If it is not Gmail, but this error message happens when sending emails to a Gmail account, then it apparently means that the owner of the Gmail account has set it up to automatically forward new emails to the thegs.com.au account, and that account either doesn't exist, or is refusing to accept incoming emails.

This has nothing to do with Gmail. This is simply Google relaying to you the error from the receiving server.

Your domain MX, thegs.com.au [27.54.81.241] is not configured to receive email for that recipient or domain.

I confirmed this by hand:
550 No Such User Here
quit
221 webcloud84.au.syrahost.com closing connection
