This is a nit, but it bugs me juuust enough that I'm finally motivated to mention it. :-)

It seems that most of the tools that open code editing windows are using some predefined size or formula to explicitly size the code editing window.  I assume this is somewhere in the PEM Editor code.  With SET RESOURCE ON, the FOXUSER table stores the last size and position of code windows, but when I open code from tools like GoFish or Go To Definition, some other size is used.  Most of the time I end up resizing the window again to dimensions that I prefer.  If I'm correct that there is tool code somewhere that's setting that size, I would appreciate a way to turn that off.

Thanks,
Mike

Sure -- here you go ... this tool is for those of us who prefer to see our editor windows to all open at the same place.

MyFace.BackColor = RGB( 255, 0, 0 )

I started digging around after I posted this, and came across this very options screen.  I changed the default settings, and it does indeed appear to do what I wanted.  Hopefully this post at least brings attention to some settings which others may find useful, but weren't aware of.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike and Todd --

You guys have suffered from this long enough!

This feature actually pre-dates Thor; it was part of one of the earlier features of PEM Editor.

It has certainly been around for at least five years (I say this having found a discussion on this from May, 2011)

Thanks Jim, but "suffered" is far to too strong for this.  If it was that bad, I would have pursued it long ago.  I ought to know by now that if some Thor tool is doing something I don't especially like, there's probably a reasonable way to change it.  If anything, I think this discussion highlights the great power and productivity that so many fine developers have given us through Thor, that I have time to whine about the size of my code windows. :-)
