How can we say that the Kaaba is a totem?
The pilgrimage to Mecca and the rituals accompanying it are very strange This pillar is the only one anachronistic with the spirit of Islam. It completely contradicts universalism, the omnipresence of Allah. [Kabylia.wordpress.com]

Putin Blasts Western 'Democratization' Saying it Causes Terrorism, Failed States
Putin apparently seems more societal than political in his general philosophy. The Russian President leveled his most fierce blow yet against interventionist foreign policies arguing that productive societal change must begin at the ground (grassroots) level from within, rather than being imparted by outside "liberators". Putin Wasn't Rooting for Brexit as It Harms Europe, Moscow — Russia's Deputy PM
As previously mentioned, Putin seems more societal than political in his general philosophy. However, with the European(-American) Union, Putin contradicts his own apparent general philosophy, and seems to desire less democracy, and more "economic" wealth, the kind that favours more wealth for the government, and its "top gun" relations, not for average people — I'm beginning to feel that even the word "economic" is another weasel word like the word "social", because as the word "social" has nothing to do with natural society, the word "economic" has nothing to do with natural economy. The story: Russia's deputy prime minister has said that the country's president Vladimir Putin never rooted for Brexit (no differently than Obama, only less obvious), and that the Kremlin believes the historic vote by Britain weakened Europe, which will have harmful "economic" implications for the entire world. But all of this means that Putin is still a socialist, not even close to a societalist, which is also the basic problem with the Western world. Capitalist and communist systems are both socialist; the only difference is that capitalist systems are a little less despotic, a little, just a little less government-centred. So don't kid yourself: Russia may be a little better than the West in some respects, but it is no Messianic society, as Jesus was never a socialist, which is a political (despotic, elitist, patrician) philosophy, but a societalist, which is a non-political (democratic, egalitarian, plebeian) philosophy. "Does it even matter who hacked this data?" Putin said. "The important thing is the content that was given to the public." [Metro.us]

5.9 quake rattles Philippines
Italy, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Chile, Nicaragua, Alaska (US), even Oklahoma (US) earthquakes, and smaller ones have struck in other places [ http://earthquake-report.com ]: the world is rocking to and fro, but still nobody is paying attention that a lot of things are out of balance. A powerful 5.9 magnitude earthquake has struck the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, according to the US Geological Survey. [RT.com]

Obama's China visit gets off to rocky start, reflecting current relations
The G20 only proves the US has become a "regional power", and China, and in particular Russia, are the rising stars. I wouldn't say Putin is worshipped like God Almighty when he travels abroad, but he is definitely idolised like Jesus' own mother. The only people who are a little critical of Putin these days, are the same journalists who travelled with Obama to China, you know, that Media Paramour which is like an extension of the CIA, so not really the independent, fair, and critical media they always pretend to be. In Turkey Putin, and by extension Russia, used to be Enemy Numero Uno, but now it's the US — and US vassals — who has taken that position, and even Israel understands that the US has become a little "diplomatically challenged", like some Fourth World, Talossa-like micronation. Even Israel understands Putin is the Real Life Arthur Fonzarelli, better known as Fonzie, or simply "The Fonz" of global diplomacy. China used to be liked in Africa alone, because it provided lots of funding for local investment, but now the only nation which seriously doesn't like China is Japan, the nation which has been eclipsed by China economically, just as the US has been eclipsed by Russia diplomatically, and Japan still likes "The Fonz" just like anyone else, excluding Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — the first, a promising B-list actor, the second, a grandma at least partially affected by dementia pugilistica, and whose doctor knows nothing about natural treatments for anxiety and depression, nothing about natural (real) medicine. So chances are good that while China has become as aggressive as it is wealthy and prominent, WW3 scenarios with Japan are very unlikely, and actually even WW3 scenarios with the US are very unlikely, as someone who has half of a brain still working is going to eventually figure out that the US needs to seriously downsize the military, non-industrial complex and NATO, in order to become "Great Britain" again, as the latter in its heyday was definitely not a "regional power", while the US definitely is despite appearances, because even its non-regional friends are on the decline.
