Ilhan Omar, Kevin McCarthy, Zionism, and Trumpworld Anti-Semitism
I have largely been silent on the Israel-Palestine conflict for some time now. The Palestinians have lost standing and been worn down in their rhetorical battle with Netanyahu’s Trump-like obstructionism, and the current stalemate has left religious radicalism on both sides in control of the abysmal situation.
One issue that does crop up from time to time in my writing is the BDS strategy and its desperate attempt to force Israel’s hand:

The terms of the Israel-Palestine conflict have changed over time, given Palestinian weakness and the ongoing HASBARAH bullying, which has moved the Zionists inexorably into union with the emerging Alt-Right in Europe and America:
The recent Blue Wave election of a number of hardline Progressives to the US Congress has worried the HASBARAH community, and we have seen them come out forcefully against Ilhan Omar, accusing her of Anti-Semitism:
We should take a step back to look at how the messy situation actually developed:
It began with Trumpstooge Kevin McCarthy.

The Trumpjews are very proud of Congressman McCarthy, and have vigorously defended his Anti-Semitism:
McCarthy went after Liberal anti-Trump Jews George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, and Tom Steyer on behalf of the Boss:
Keep in mind what Omar said in her tweet, and compare it to what McCarthy said last October in his tweet:
The tweet, which included the hashtag #MAGA to express support for President Donald Trump, singled out Soros, billionaire hedge fund manager Tom Steyer and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. It urged those who read it to "get out and vote Republican" on the grounds that the individuals singled out would try to "buy" the election. Given that one of the common anti-Semitic myths is that Jews have disproportionate power due to their supposed ability to buy elections, and that the three men singled out by McCarthy are all Jewish, the tweet could have been construed as being an anti-Semitic dogwhistle.
McCarthy also used the Jewish Money trope in his attack on the Liberal Jewish Trumphaters.
Unlike her Republican House colleague, Omar quickly apologized for her tweet, but continued to call out AIPAC and its malign influence on the American political system:
Her fatal mistake was to use the word “money” in characterizing how the Zionist Lobby works.
“Money” is a word that automatically sparks accusations of Anti-Semitism, when in fact it is not money per se that is the issue with American politicians and Israel, it is the ballot box.
The problem is the monolithic Jewish vote which has all American Jews marching in virtual lockstep with Netanyahu and his reactionary and dangerous policies. It is indeed almost impossible for a political candidate to win a national election in this country if they try to buck the HASBARAH orthodoxy and its quite vicious spin machine.
The Far Right Wing Zionist extremists at The Algemeiner quickly decided to compare Omar to The New York Times, another favored target of HASBARAH loyalists:
Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin likely speaks for many Jews when he emphatically rejected Omar’s apology:
Zeldin is being hypocritical when it comes to this sort of thing as McCarthy, current leader of his own Republican House caucus, is guilty of the same transgression as Omar.
And he did not apologize!
Indeed, the Freshman Congresswoman did what Trump and his Republican lackeys would never do. She learned from her error.
But the Trumpworld hypocrisy did not end there.
The proverbial icing on the cake was the Racist-in-Chief saying the Omar apology was not “adequate”!

The only difference is that McCarthy never apologized and paid no price – political or otherwise – for his Anti-Semitic remarks.
