The No Brainer Classic and Challenge Rides
No Brainer Challenge
· Location: Vets Hall 830 Elm Street (Rt.8) Ludlow KY
When: Mondays at 6:15
Route 8 is closed just past Rt. 20 and from the looks of it, it will not be passable even on bike. Therefore we are going to do an alternate ride this week. It will be shorter, but what we lose in distance we will make up for in climbing. The plan is leave from the Vets Hall at 6:15 for the following route:
Right on Sleepy Hollow
Right on Amsterdam
Right on Bromley Crescent Springs
Left on HIghwater
Straight on Amsterdam
Left on Route 8
Left on Route 20
Turn around at Riverview Drive (top of hill) and return
The intermediate group will return via Rt. 8 (17.8 miles with 1580 climb)
The fast group will return via Amsterdam and Highwater.
Please bring lights. Sunset is 7:50.
Weather rules: Rain or wet roads at start cancels ride

The ride that normally leaves from the ferry will be leaving from the VFW hall due to the closing of Route 8. The routes will be much shorter, but with a lot more climbing.
The beginner route is 13.5 miles with 1200 feet of climb:
Right out of parking lot
Left on Main St.
Right on Highwater
Straight on Amsterdam
Left on Route 8
Left on Route 20
Turn around at Riverview Drive (top of hill) and return via Rt. 8

Total distance 22 miles and 1950 ft. of climb (return via Rt. 8 would be 20 miles and 1,500 of climb
No Brainer Classic

Rating: Beginner and Intermediate
