I wanted to forward you this which is about the business of your art. I went to one of these 3 years ago and it was good. They do change speakers every year.The lecture and panel discussion is with Jackie Battenfield. It should be informative in addressing professional strategy, as well as the following panels, financial planning and the marketing and web presence workshops.

A professional practice symposium open to all SAIC student, faculty staff and alumni. Registration is required. Admission is free for SAIC students, faculty, staff and 2009 graduates; $60 for alumni. The keynote lecture "Finding Your Way" is free and open to the public. Space is limited!
