I am just forwarding some info about CSA Day in the US.

I just wondered how many CSA would be interested in doing a CSA sign up day in the UK - possibly on 1 March 2017.

As with the US event we could provide a logo, sample press releases, etc. but it would be up to you to promote and share on Facebook to try to get more local people to sign up to your CSA.

We could also possibly do a webinar on getting for Facebook traffic and hits on your website.

Hello CSA Farmers and Supporters!

The 3rd annual CSA Day is less than one month away: February 24th, 2017.

The true concept behind CSA Day is simply to give you a way to talk to your customers and online audience and say: "today is the day to sign up for our CSA". It is about as simple as that. We've had some farms sell as many as 100 CSA shares on CSA day by using this opportunity to talk to their audience.

To help you with that conversation, we have developed a promotional package that includes:

• Shareable social media images for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Press releases you can customize
• Sample copy to use for social media, email, and your website

A lot of folks have had success doing Facebook advertising in past years to show ads to people in their local area on CSA Day and reach beyond their current audience to drive sales. I'll train you on how to do this during the webinar (more details on that below).

The "I Support My Local Farmer" Image

New in the promotional this year is the "I Support my Local Farmer" badge image. The idea is that this a image that your customers can proudly post to their social media accounts and talk about your farm. It is a way for people to feel good about supporting your farm and spread the word at the same time.

You will want to send an email (or social media post) to your customers telling them how to use this image and encourage them to use it with the #CSAday hashtag on CSA Day.

I will run a free training webinar on how to best use the promotional package to drive sales during the week of February 6th, so watch your email for an invite to that event.

Make sure your farm is in the directory

As of today, we have 1,001 farms in the directory so make sure you add your farm. Potential CSA customers will come to this site to find your farm, so we want to make sure they find you!
