Beacon Farms - April 2015 View this email in your browser Land Seekers Survey Beacon Farms is excited to announce the launch of the Bristol Food Producers' Land Seekers Survey and want to invite you to register your land needs. Beacon Farms is seeking land itself to support new entrants to farming. We have established Bristol Food Producers with other growing organisations around Bristol to support the scaling up of urban and peri-urban growing - we need more growers on more land. Bristol Food Producers have a dedicated strand of work looking at how to help growers to get access to the land they need to start or expand food producing business in and around Bristol; we also want to provide access to the skills needed to make these businesses successful and sustainable. One of the first steps is to identify what land needs exists, so together we have created a database, populated by this survey, of all the people looking for land in Bristol. We intend to keep the survey open and encourage people to keep it updated so Bristol Food Producers can continue to use it to lobby for land access, and carry out land match-making with local councils and other land owners.
