2014 CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM THE ENGLANDS

Another Christmas is upon us here in Tohlakai, New Mexico.  No regrets, no wishing we were any place else.  This journey of ours has been so rewarding! This will be our last Christmas here on our mission.  Delightful Navajo people. We have learned more than we have taught and this is good! Oh yes, we had classes and answered questions, however being around these people helps us to feel humble and thankful for all we have.  Learning to do without is a good thing and watching how they are with family and church has been an eye opener for both Elder England and me.  We have tried to keep you up to date on what we have been doing so this letter will be short.  We have also been blessed to know other senior couple missionaries. We have made some long-lasting friends.  We have been very lucky to be able to meet with these seniors twice a month. With little to do out here and no neighbors to speak of this was a true blessing.  Our families are doing the best they can.  Some have challenges and some don’t.  Some have jobs and some don’t.  We love all our family and wish them the very best for Christmas and all our love.  We hope they will remember this month as the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and know of His love for them.  Our wish for our friends is as always--good health, to have a warm Christmas with a wonderful New Year!

"As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow Him, we shall have the Christmas spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always. We shall learn to forget ourselves. We shall turn our thoughts to the greater benefit of others." (Pres. Thomas S. Monson)

Let’s be kind to others, serve others, and forgive one another.  What a gift to give to our Lord Jesus Christ on His birthday.

We love all of you and please keep in touch!
