Audio Description

Hello everyone- 

A couple of follow up thoughts on audio description- I was able to bring the issue up with the Temple department and they have agreed to look into it. It would be tremendously helpful to the effort if any of you who desire this could have the conversation with your temple presidency – I don’t know if that happens through your stake presidency or if you can contact them directly, but anything you can do to share with them an understanding of the issue would be very helpful. 

Second- is anyone aware of any Church member that currently provides audio description services professionally?

Hello Christopher:

I don’t know of a church member who is a trained descried, but if someone can be assigned to that task in the next few weeks, there is a training opportunity for audio describers taking place during the 2014 Conference and Convention of the American Council of the Blind in Los Vegas, Nevada.  I believe the training sessions are scheduled for July 16 through 18.  You can find the correct information on the Council’s website, www.acb.org, or you can call the Council at (800) 424-8666.
