Learned List.  On my last 2 sailings on Lake Texoma, my 14 year old ST60 Knot/Log stopped working @ 2.99 KM.  After the 1st outage I thought I'd need to clear the paddle wheel, but then it was working on the next sail (yesterday); it worked fine until 2.99 NM.  On both occasions I started under power out of the marina, then on a starboard tack for about 3 KM and noticed the Knot/Log stopped working when I switched to a port tack.  However, switching back to a starboard tack did not cure the issues.  Thoughts/suggestions?

It can be only one of two things: transducer or control head. If you're sure it's not the transducer (spinning OK, etc.), then my next step would be to pull control head and have it bench tested by a Raymarine dealer w/ repair capabilities.  If it's the control head, then it's time for a new one.  You can find used ones on ebay or the transducer is compatible with the current i50 serires.  Control heads only can be bought; an adapter cable is included so that it can be networked to your Seatalk system, if applicable.  The i50's do not use the same mounting holes.
