Trojan 6 volt batteries

I would like to upgrade to Trojan 6 V batteries on my Beniteau 40 I am concerned about space. The 6 V batteries are taller and two would be wider than the Dekka 4Ds I know have. So I am concerned about space.
Has anyone made this upgrade in a Benneteau 40 ?

I couldn't get Trojan 6v (Golf Cart batteries) to fit on our Occeanis 381. I ended up going with Lifeline 6v units instead.

I have a Beneteau 473. The boat came with a house bank of 3 4Ds. I replaced with 6 Trojans in the exact same footprint. I hope that helps some. By the way. I love the Trojans. I have had them on a couple of boats.

Thanks, Larry. I have some questions. Did you put 2 Trojans in the same battery box as the Dekka 4Ds--2 in each box, or did you get new boxes for each Trojan.  Did you find that the Trojans required more water replenishing than the Dekkas?

They are slightly taller so you might need new boxes depending on the ones you have. I do not find them needing more water. I am also going to invest in the fill system Trojan produces. Check it out on their site. They can custom make one  to fit any installation. I have 675 amps in the bank now. We are on the gulf coast of Florida and in the summer we can stay on the hook for about 3 days without charging. I want to add solar but have not gotten to it yet.
