Thursday morning I was on practice and at the end forgot to release (damn hot sun and dehydration) the cleats, which caused an imbalance and fell with the cleats locked on the road.

Now I have a little sprain on the knee. Whenever I put myself into Squat position or when I try to lift the leg putting calf and quad muscles in action, there is a little pain (2.5 on a scale of 5) arouse from it.

But I can walk, climb with slight pain. What would be the possible one? I ran through the office doc, and he said it would be minor tear inside and give them some rest of three weeks and you're good to go.

Any experiences would help me a lot. Thanks for reading out.

Chill. You should be fine in couple of days... ;-)

Hi,
2 years back, I have fallen the same day i have fitted the clipless pedal with 15 days togo for Mumbai Marathon
faced pain in the knee area like you....

consulted physiotherapist and practiced the exercises/stretches he told and rested for some days. and all went fine.
consult a good physio if the pain is a sharp one during walking/running/cycling.

thanks
karthik

It's almost a month or so and the pain is reduced and I feel very less intense now.
Had some stretches to strengthen calf and quad as prescribed by doc and it worked.

On the saddle now.

You mean all this while you were *not* on the saddle. A minor cleat fall should be no reason to be off the saddle.
