Cycling on Mysore road

How is it these days to bicycle on Mysore Road. I've not been on that road now for maybe 3 years. Just wanted to know how it is to ride in the rather maddening traffic

It's worse than ever before. Wouldn't recommend it unless you have a very early start on a weekday and have a return planned via a different route.

Hmm... Haven't been on a long ride on Mysore road for a while. Did a short section on bike (Kumbalagodu - Dodda Aladmara turnoff) & in car (Nice road - Kamat) some time back. Seemed OK, but if regulars are saying it's bad overall, that is unfortunate.

Would like to do a ride again some time on Mysore road. Forgetting now which all sections have service roads. That would help in planning a ride.

Hi Chiddu,

I did Blr-Mys in Jul 16 and Mys-Ramnagara-Mys in Oct 16 as part of BRMs. Starting time was 4.00 PM and 10.00 PM respectively. The traffic was moderate. Didn't find much difficulty in crossing the towns.
