Hi all,

In case you can't make to the Exhibit before it closes on Aug. 22nd at the Crossings Gallery at the Harvard Ed Portal, here are photo links with a special focus on the two Allston-Brighton landmarks that have not yet been rejuvenated.  The Ed Portal is open M-F 9-5.

Unbound Visual Arts opened it's newest exhibition, Rejuvenation, on July 20th, 2017. The reception on a hot summer evening attracted over 100 people to the the Crossings Gallery at Harvard University to view the art created by thirteen artists, learn about landmarks, listen to the entertainment by jazz singer Beth Purcell and her keyboardist Brian Friedland, sample the refreshments from Whole Foods Market, have a glass of wine, take a chance on the raffle and bid on prizes in the silent auction. There were also three excellent short presentations by three artists - Heidi Lee, Christine Winship, and Ruth Rieffanaugh. Many of the artists were also present to talk individually to the visitors as well. The Curator and exhibition designer, John Quatrale and Karen Smigliani, informally discussed the exhibition and the importance of preserving the history, architecture and rebirth of historic landmarks in much the same way that individuals go through re-birth. The reception crowd included City Councillor Mark Ciommo, Rep. Kevin Moran, and State Senator Will Brownsberger.

All the best -- John
