Tomorrow morning (Wednesday, Dec. 13)  at  9 am at City Hall is the final public hearing – this time before the Zoning Commission of the city of Boston -- on the huge St. Gabriel’s project proposed for 159-201 Washington St. in Brighton. The hearing is on the 9th Floor, Room 900, the BPDA board room, City Hall.

If you want to dust off what you sent to the Boston Planning and Development Agency when the matter was up for a vote last month, simply direct it to the Zoning Commission by sending it to Jeffrey...@boston.gov.

It’s your last chance to speak at a public hearing on this or to submit any comments.. The Board of Directors of the Boston Redevelopment Authority (part of the BPDA) voted to approve the project last month (without any debate) – even though there was considerable public testimony and considerable submissions seeking rejection of the project in its current form.

As worded, the development plan by Cabot, Cabot & Forbes proposes 660 units (although the developer says it will limit to 652), including 105 condominiums.  If this plan is approved by the BPDA Board, it would– according to info on the BPDA website -- be the largest housing complex approved in Brighton or Allston in many years. In fact, it would be more than twice as large as any non-dormitory housing project approved for Brighton or Allston in many years.
