significant- iag meeting tonight re Rugg Road

To All:

There will be a second Impact Advisory Group Meeting concerning the 40 Rugg Road project on Tuesday, October 17th at 6:00PM at the Jackson Mann Community Center- Theater.  The developer has also agreed to extend the comment period until October 31st. The proposal call for the construction of 261 rental apartments in six story buildings.

In past meetings, community residents have advanced a number of significant reservations about this project, including the lack of owner-occupied housing, concerns about parking, and concerns about the proposed density

My own take is that this is an significant meeting, given that this project likely will set an important precedent for other proposals relating to housing near the New Balance financed commuter rail stop that have been advanced or will be advanced in the near future.
