PRESS RELEASE:

Registered Democrats in Boston's Ward 22 will hold a caucus on March 3, 2018 at 2pm at the Veronica B. Smith Multi-Service Center located at 20 Chestnut Hill Avenue, Brighton Center and is accessible for those with disabilities.  We are meeting to elect delegates and alternates to the 2018 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Doors will open at 1:30pm.

This year's state convention will be held on Friday June 1st and Saturday June 2nd 2018 at the DCU Center in Worcester. At the convention Democrats from across the state will come together to endorse Democratic candidates for statewide office including Constitutional Officers and gubernatorial candidates.

The Caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Boston's Ward 22.  Pre-registered Democrats who will be 18 by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate.  The Ward 22 Committee can elect 18 delegates and 4 alternates to the Convention in addition to those who attend ex-officio. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate mat apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
