Hi Everyone,
This week AETNA, (who's CEO got over $17 million in compensation) announced its intention to withdraw from offering insurance in the Affordable Care Connectors, and our local health insurers announced an 8% increase in health insurance premiums for small businesses.
It seems timely that the Boston City Council Resolution Calling for a Single Payer System. Please consider attending to demonstrate your support next Wednesday Augus24th at 12PM in the City Council chambers.
Whether you agree with the concept of single payer or not, we do not need a for profit health insurance system that puts their bottom line above the needs to patients.
