I was looking at at the Kossel 3D Printer that is offered at Fraser Valley Makerspace (http://fvmakers.com/kossel-3d-printer/), and thought
that it seems like it might be alight.
Does anyone here have experience with this kit? Or any thoughts about it?
I'm looking at purchasing something within the next few months, and this seems like a good candidate.

Thanks for any input / thoughts.

I have built a few delta style printers, but mine have all used smooth rods and bearings like the rostock.

I can't say anything specific about the kit, but I do like deltas in general. That looks like it's using the traxxas rod ends which work quite well, but much better with a spring at each end to remove any play.  I tried elastics like they're using, and found that they had a tendency to dry out and break every couple weeks.  also, with them in the middle they bend the rods a bit if they're tight enough to prevent rattling.  Probably negligible in effect, but it still bugged me.

I just finished building a kossel mini, and it looks like the fraser valley makerspace kit is a very solid choice with a couple minor points to consider:
     1. Full graphics LCD module on a Arduino Mega 2560/Ramps 1.4 package--according to the deltabot forums, this is known to sometimes cause resolution issues with Deltas
     2. Hot-end nozzle assembly--looks to be a E3D v5 clone of some type, the quality control on these can be rather iffy at best, I've had 2 of them clog and fail the first time I tried to use them.
Overall, the mechanics and general structure look quite solid, so it would be a good choice if you're willing to put in some time and effort finetuning it. If you have further questions or want some advice, I'm more than happy to help.
Good luck with your research,
Edward Simpson
