3D604 is an open forum for people that are interested in, use, design, and make 3d printers in the 604 area code of Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and everywhere in between (but we welcome anyone really).

You can read posts here without registering but you'll need to in order to post messages or replies. 

Registration is a manual process requiring one of the administrators to approve you. This usually happens right away as their are four of us (John, Eugene, Sublime & Derek) but sometimes takes a bit of time. Ideally, we'd love it if you introduced yourself and what you're interested in getting from the group (in a post, not the reg form). 

If you already have a 3d printer, let us know or tell us which one you're thinking about getting/building. We're not aligned with any one printer design or manufacturer either so feel free to chat about any of them. 

Our regular meetings are broken down in two ways: Public meetings and Build/Demo days

Public meetings are typically scheduled for the 2 week of the month (alternating Tuesday/Wednesdays) and held at a restaurant (usually Boston Pizza beside Colossus in Langley). Everyone is welcome to attend the public meetings and you don't need a 3d printer to participate.

Build/Demo Days are typically held towards the middle/end of the month at member's homes, workshops, amenity rooms, public hackspaces, etc. pretty much anywhere that will accommodate a bunch of folks with printers and tools. Unless otherwise noted, build days are reserved for folks that have already come out to a public meeting so the group knows you before coming into someone's home/workshop/etc. Occasionally the build day will be something more public like MakerFaire (held in the summer), Science World or similar places/events. 

Meetings will be made sticky at the top of the forum when the schedule is sorted. Please RSVP if you intend to come out so that we can get the appropriate reservation in place.
