I thought some of you might be interested in these two events.  They also have a surrey location for the 2nd one.

3D Printing and Scanning - Possibilities and Limitations

The Digital Cultures Lab at Douglas College

Tuesday, 26 May 2015 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT)

One ticket per person who will be attending. The Maker Lab is on the second floor of the River Market across from the Circus School. *Not suitable for children under 18 (we'll do one for kids if there's interest though!).

Then I searched Eventbrite.ca and also found.

Join us on Wednesday, May 6 2015, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Vancouver, BC.

Design, Manage, Evaluate, and Manufacture your Products

Join us on May 6th as Javelin's experts present the latest technology from SOLIDWORKS that will provide you with a total solution to overcome the following common issues:

  • The need for a collaborative design tool to work better with the entire team, suppliers, and stake holders.
  • The current process for Electromechanical design is over complicated and error prone.
  • Leverage 3D printing to support manufacturing and design, evaluate fit, form, and function sooner. Support the Manufacturing process andreduce your re-work budget

You will learn about:

  1. Streamlining processes and controlling revisions.
  2. Tighter integration of electrical and mechanical design.
  3. Reducing field failures and warranty costs.
  4. 3D Printing applications for design and manufacturing.
  5. Government grants available for purchasing new technology and training.

Really enjoyed the Javelin presentation this evening.

Design, Manage, Evaluate, 3D Print & Manufacture your Products.

If you are interested in what Solidworks can do in either mechanical, electrical, or fluid dynamics they have something to tell you. Also cover automated versioning and file management for solid works.

Then they covered the possibilities with stratasys printers.

There is another station next week in Surrey if any of this sounds interesting.
