Hello,

about half a year ago or so it was promised that the choice of drag mode
could be made persistent such that it isn't necessary to manually switch
to QTVR mode for any new pano. Is it really so hard to set a cookie in
order to remember the preference?

That goes for me too.  Thanks.  Scroll wheel zoom would be nice to have back as well.

Hi Erik and David,

Thanks for getting back to us. Your suggestion is already in our list of requests. It is a good idea, thanks a lot for sharing it with us!

We can't promise when it will be addressed but we haven't forgotten about it.

Let me add that it is a feature I thought we had already implemented, unfortunately it isn't. It's obviously something that should be there, it's frustrating to have to select this every single time.

Our tech guys are quite overwhelmed right now and it's just impossible to prioritize everything to please everybody, please understand. And please also understand that even "brain dead simple things to add" like this are never that simple, always need to be tested for unintentional bugs, and so on. It's never a 5 minute fix. That said, yes of course, we want to add this. I'll speak to the tech guys about trying to squeeze it in sometime soon.

thanks,
Jeffrey

Hello!

Now, when you select the QTVR mode it will be persistent in all the panoramas you check.

Hooray! Finally. Now the cursor should change to indicate the mode, like
in this krpano example:
http://krpano.com/examples/118/examples/xml-usage/cursors/cursors.html

Many thanks for the cursor change, too. I would have preferred the
original QTVR cursor (from the example), but this way is ok as well.

However, the cursor doesn't show up the correct way on initial load.
When the last time QTVR was selected it is still a hand cursor. Only
after two toggles it changes to the arrow cross.

Hi Erik,

Thanks for letting us know that. We'll update the cursor on the initial load.

...but only until I close the browser :-(

Why not a longer lasting cookie? Please set it to the root directory to
have it in all incarnations and expiry time to far future!

Sorry to bother you again, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. While
the cursor stays the arrow cross the navigation actually is click-drag
after I change panorama. The mousetype cookie stays "moveto" BTW...

So it's over a year now and it still doesn't work at all. I have to
switch to QTVR mode in any single panorama.

With chrome it toggles from drag to moveto and the cursor changes. If I
toggle it back the mode changes but not the cursor.

With Firefox it seems to work now after I deleted all cookies, at least
sort of: It switches from drag to moveto after all tiles are loaded if
moveto was selected previously and the page is reloaded.

Now hopefully tomorrow it will still work...

Many thanks
Erik

Hi Erik,

We are going to investigate this bug and to fix it. We had some issues with the new Chrome update.

Regarding FIrefox, I can't reproduce the issue you reported. It's strange because I have just tested with Firefox and the cursor doesn't change for me. We are going to investigate all these issues.

Thanks a lot for reporting them!!

Elena

Perhaps this is a minor one which doesn't need fixing. It only happens
sometimes if the page is reloaded with Ctrl-F5.

Many thanks so far!

I checked this on both my home and work computers in Chrome and Fire and it seems to be working now, after I re-set the option and re-load pages.  Maybe your cookie is getting cleared by internet security apps or something.  If so you may not be able to fix this (unless you set the default to my preferred setting, how does that sound? :-)
